Vancouver General Hospital (Energy Centre Project)

The Re-Systems Group of Canada helps the Vancouver Hospital Energy Centre steam ahead.

Redevelopment of the Vancouver General Hospital campus reached a milestone at the end of November as the new VGH Energy Centre steamed into action.

Designed by Bunting Coady Architects of Vancouver with aesthetic flourishes by artist Alan Storey, the stylish power plant at West 12th Avenue and Willow Street is the final element in an eight-year initiative to complete the Jim Pattison pavilion.

The Re-Systems Group of Canada was engaged by Van Bots C0nstruction to under take this most challenging project.

The project was to convert a leaking below grade 9000 sqaure foot diesel storage bunker into a fresh water backup resevoir for the new Energy Centre boiler packages.

Utilizing a combination of The Re-Systems Group of Canada’s Turbo Seal U “blind side” injection system ,G & W Concrete repair mortars and Atex of Canada’s Poly Top polyurea membrane the company was successful in completing this conversion on time and budget.
